Where did you complete your LLM from?
I completed my LLM from the London School of Economics, London in 2011.
Did you pursue any specialisation?
My specialisation was in Corporate & Commercial Laws.
Any advice for prospective LLM applicants for the application process?
I went to LSE immediately after my undergrad. So my choice of subjects at the LLM was driven on my academic interests from law school and the professor who taught the subject. So my advice to those applying is firstly that it’s better to get some work experience and then apply for the LLM so that you can use the program to effectively get practical experience by selecting the right courses and also build the relevant professional network. Secondly, plan well in advance- do not apply to 20 different colleges as the application process takes time and dedication. You may not be able to do justice to all applications.
Why did you choose to go to the UK verus the US or other countries?
I preferred UK because of its common law jurisdiction.
One fond memory of the LLM Program for you.
The LLM program has several fond memories for me. Starting from being taught by the smartest and most sought after intellectuals in the world for that subject, to living independently for the first time in a foreign country and also sharing the classroom with the brightest kids from across the world and understanding each of their perspectives and interpretations on the same legal issue.
